So, I’m still here…

August 5th, 2007 · No Comments

I’m still around! I will try to post as often as a I can. I now have a job as a barman (More money to pay off for various business/personal items :) )

Ferrari Fans
has been launched.

I’m getting a advertisng budget sorted for Ferrari Fans, Pastilles Networks and Let Politics talk.

All in all things are going very well. I am going to book a driving test soon and pay off for the rest of my driving lessons. However I am more focused on improving my businesses now. Certain communities I own need my attention. These are the communities I will focus on heavily over the next few weeks.

More coming soon! :)

PayPerPost - Review - Looks good!!

July 11th, 2007 · No Comments

I’m going to be upfront about this. This is a paid review for PayPerPost. This will be a honest post even though I am getting paid for this.

PayPerPost is part of the new web 2.0 and a exciting way for bloggers to make money. It’s great if your a advertiser with a low budget but would like to get your business out on several blogs.

Looking in the opportunities section there are lots of good topics and writers can choose on which niches and themes they want to write about.

The site itself is extremely easy to use and understand (which is something! Because I find some sites tricky to navigate ;) ). It’s currently in beta 3.46. Things are likely to change due to it being in beta but I think it’s pretty good as it is now.

Bloggers Dashboard

The bloggers dashboard is neat tidy and clear. It also gives you a link to the firefox toolbar for PayPerPost. I installed this. It’s great! Allows me to check the amount earned and login. The dashboard has a top earners block and a PayPerPost blog block. When your blog hits the big time (high pagerank and high alexa rank etc) you can start looking in the big green.

PayPerPost - Bloggers - Dashboard

The dashboard is above.

To sum up

As I find out more about PayPerPost I am sure I will come to love it even more. I love it already and I feel it has lots of potential. I have made a few friends who have been participating for a while. So far I have only been a member for around a month. I am sure I will enjoy it as time goes on and I will continue learning from the whole experience.

Goals - Things to achieve!

July 9th, 2007 · No Comments

Well, I have begun setting myself some goals for the summer. I believe goals will give me something to reach if not by the end of the summer then the year.

In no particular order ;)

1.) Continue building Pastilles Networks. Building the client database and our reputation.

2.) Get the new forum style up and running at Let Politics Talk and to compete with more communities and move up the politipoll ranking.

3.) A personal goal here. To get fitter over the summer. More running etc. Eat healthier.

4.) To do well at college. Year 2 is going to be harder apparently :(

5.) Pass my driving test (No, I still won’t say when it is :P )

6.) Work harder and smarter on all my projects. Especially Let Games Talk which I have neglected. However I am hoping to relaunch soon :)

Now I have got to reach these goals.

I will come back to them later and review how many of them I have met :)

TMS-Network - New business!

June 20th, 2007 · No Comments

TMS-Network Logo

Finally, all has been revealed!

We (Me and Toby) have been working on our new venture TMS-Network.

We already have our first community project in progress. Our first website will be a computer help community. A open organisation where all community input delivers the best results in terms of support. The site will revolve around a techie fictional mouse. Who hates jargon but loves helping others.

You can find more about our current projects by visiting this page.

Look out for TMS-Network in the future. Our commitment to high quality solutions will allow advertisers to succeed on our network. Once more websites and communities are purchased and developed the network will grow and provide advertisers with high click throughs and impressions.

More information coming up soon about our Tech Mouse Disorganisation! :)

F1 - Canadian Grand Prix!

June 11th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Well! What a race

Monaco was a bit boring for once but Canada sure made up for that!!

What a enjoyable race. I can’t cover every point but poor Heikki Kovalainen got a engine penalty for having his engine replaced. His engine blew in practice and he smashed up in qualifying yet he still managed a respectable time. The Renault mechanics did a good job to get him out for the qualifying session with less then ten minutes remaining! That was a speedy repair.

He ended up 22nd on the grid after his penalty. Dead last. David Coulthard also had a appalling qualifying session going off the road several times. Lewis managed his first pole though! Well done :)

The race got underway Alonso made a stuff up of the first corner and so did Räikkönen. Massa moved ahead (Unfortunately Räikkönen continues to put in disappointing performances at Scuderia Ferrari).

Not long into the race Adrian Sutil crashes his Spyker into the wall bringing out the first of 4 safety cars!

Unfortunately Robert Kubica had a big smash. Causing what we thought at first was a broken leg but what we now know is a sprained ankle and bruising. It was a huge impact. Somewhere in the region of 170mph. You can view the video here. It’s a testimony to the strength of modern F1 cars that he got out alive. However F1 cars are never 100% safe. The HANS (Head and Neck Safety device) probably saved him from considerable injury too.

After all the drama… Lewis made it through to win the race! It was a truly great victory. Much like one of Schumacher’s drives. He made it through all the action and safety cars to win.

It was a truly great race! I look forward to Indianapolis next week :)
